December

It's a jam-packed December!         

 

I’ve been wanting to go to Mon’s for a while now. We weren’t married yet when I first learned about the place. Now, we celebrated our 4th year anniversary here. The drive was way too long, but it was worth it. Jassie and I had some insightful conversations. It felt different, a kind of bonding we only get when we’re alone together.

BTW, we left Kean with his grandparents.

I love you. I know I still lack many things. I still have bad habits, and there are times I fall short of my duties and of giving what you need. But I’m trying to be better. Thank you for sticking with me and staying by my side. I’m so blessed to be your husband. I will forever be grateful to the Lord for giving me someone like you. It still amazes me whenever I think about it.

October

October was a tough month for us. One of those seasons that reminds you how fragile life can be, yet how faithful God remains through it all.

Early in the month, Kean was hospitalized for pneumonia. We spent a couple of days in the hospital, moving back and forth between home to pick up things and squeezing in work when we could. It was exhausting physically and emotionally, seeing your child sick is a different kind of pain.

It's really hard seeing him like that. It just makes your heart break.

Just a few days later, Jas was hospitalized too, this time for UTI. Another round of worry, late nights, and prayers. It felt like the month started with nothing but fear and fatigue… but by God’s grace, both of them got better. And for that, I’m truly thankful.

One thing we were grateful for as well was having a health card — it really helped lighten the load during these unexpected hospital days.

Along the back and fort, I had this little accident. 

By the end of the month, we felt things lighten up again. We even managed a short trip to BGC, letting Kean and Jasper run, play, and just enjoy being kids. After everything, seeing them laugh and run freely was such a comforting sight.

Ended the day in Din Tai Fung, their choco Xiao Long Bao is the best.
