Emotion Magnifier

I was taking a bath the other day and I realized something. (Yes, realization and the world's greatest discovery happens in the bath. Thank God for bath.) Anyway, I realized that Christmas is a magnifier for our emotions. Our feelings intensify during this occasion.

Have you noticed, that if you're happy, almost everything is pleasant? And if you're sad, you're a little sadder this season.

If you feel lonely the whole year, you get a lonelier feeling when Christmas comes. No wonder that there are so many hugots during the holidays.

Maybe because there's something in our mind that considers this event unconsciously as a target date for our goals, relationships, and other things. We ought to make things happen before Christmas and have you noticed that days after Christmas we don't really plan for anything big.

Anyway, that's just some of the things that I'm thinking about. I hope that everyone will have a really nice Christmas, kumpleto man kayong pamilya o mag-isa ka lang, madami man handa o konti lang. I pray that you'll encounter the real essence of Christmas.

Here's a sad Christmas song for everyone. 😂

12.17

Happy Pre-wedding day? Anniversary? Something? I know that nothing is final yet but, I'm pretty excited.

I may not be fully involved yet in planning but I'm looking forward to it. My family is also excited, we usually talk about it in the morning while having breakfast, talking about who's gonna be invited, who's going to be involved, the venue, and all.

I know that we're just scratching the surface of this stressful planning. I want to enjoy every moment of it. It's way early and I can already feel our disagreements and probably argue more in the near future. We have different wants. But I know for sure that we'll settle on what's best for us. Right?

Anyway, I just wanted to post a blog. I don't have much to say. I'm not even sure if I'm really ready for the future and start a family with you. There's just too much uncertainty of the future. But one thing is sure, I wanted to be with you every moment of every day.

I want to watch every movie, every anime, every series with you by my side.
To eat all the amazing dishes that we will cook and drink every beverage available. I want to laugh about everything, be silly in every possible way.

I wanted to live a simple and happy life with you. I long to see God's grace extend in our lives. His amazing plans manifest in us. I'm praying to be a role model as a husband and as a father.

I desire to honor you with everything that I have. O teka, yan muna, baka wala na ko masabe sa vows. 😜

Iloveyou, goodnight.

Puppies deserve to live forever - Panda

I was in my bedroom when I heard your first cry, it seems like you're shouting "Hello everyone, I exist". I saw your little body and pretty unopened eyes. I can feel the anxiety and excitement, knowing that we're about to take care of 4 cute little puppies. I immediately let everyone at home know about this.

There were 4 of you but you're exceptional and you're my favorite. You are cheerful and sweet. You're always there to have fun and enjoy. You always tease us whenever you see us. Bite us whenever you have a chance. Always wanting to play.

You've only been with us for 4 months and you gave us memories that will stay for a while. I even have plans of adopting you and making you part of my future family, to play with my wife and children. I thought that you'll be with us for a long long time. I guess that's just a dream now.

It's early to say goodbye but we have to, thank you for staying with us and sharing your little time with us. Who would have thought that this little piece of life would impact us this way?

Guilt is starting to build within us. We're sorry that we did not take care of you enough. A picture of your face in your last minutes is unbearable. Hours, before you died, is a portrait of your sulking. We know that we could have done a little better.

The way you look us at eats up our insides. We know, for sure, that we could have done better. I apologize for not showing you much love. For not giving you the best of our affection.

Everything is so much different now. There's too much silence in the living room and no playful little fellows are jumping around, seeking attention. It's just sad now. The place that used to be messy and happy is now a plain living room with no joyful little ones.

Cooper, your mom, is surely missing you. She runs around and looking for her playmates. At one point, we heard her cry. Her energy is quite low than usual. Your sibling is currently confined in a vet clinic, we're really hoping for complete recovery.

My parents are also sad. They miss your barking, your jumping, and even cleaning your nasty poops. Few days have passed and we're still thinking of you, we're talking about your fun memories up to your last day.

My little brother even has a gift for you this Christmas, a little present for your supposed to be first Christmas, we never had our yearly family picture. We miss you so much.

Until next time, baby Panda. We love you so much. Goodnight.

The Meaning of Numbers: The Number 5

Above every signs and symbolism, I wanted to pursue our anniversary as a couple for our engagement day. This is because the number 5 is very significant to me and to how I view our relationship.

Ever since I started to admire her in the middle of a vacation bible school, I know that she's out of my league. We're too different and it's weird seeing us together. Of course, we would end up together in my head because I'm a wishful thinker.

Whenever I caught myself looking at her, I'm whispering to God to remove this feeling if it's not from Him, if it's temporary or if we would end up hurting each other in the end.

Days turned into months, I thought that the feeling is gone. Until we meet again with a few talks, the feelings bloom and it's amazing. All the emotion came rushing in all over the place, It's different this time, it's not the "di makakain kakaisip sa'yo" feeling. I knew at the time that she's the one that I want to be with, but prayer after prayer, I was able to confirm this through her.

I know that she's way too much for me. She's like a star from a far, far away galaxy, impossible to be with. As you know, she's beautiful inside out. She's smart. She's a believer. It makes me fall in love with her more, her innocent eyes make my heart tender. She's simply.. Grace.

She's my underserved gift from above and the 5 years of us being in a relationship together symbolizes God's grace.

In the bible, the number 5 is indeed the number of grace. For me, doing the marriage proposal on our 5th-year anniversary means pursuing grace for the rest of my life.

On Re-posts

Hello. I'm planning to just post this as a tweet but I think I need more characters. And I'm not sure of doing the thread tweets.. So.. I'll just post it here.

During the quarantine, I saw a trend of people reposting point-of-view and opinions about certain topics in life.

I noticed that some of the people that share the post are just blinding agreeing with the thought or it works for them.

Reposting it with a caption "kaya nga.. ganito ako/kame"

One example that I saw is about an opinion on "live-in". That it's okay and so, then list out all the advantages of living in. It sounds good. But that's not entirely what you're getting, there are disadvantages as well.

Just like being married, people can list out all advantages and it will sound good. But there are also disadvantages of marriage.

I don't know if I'm making sense here but my point is, let us not push our beliefs and opinions to other people. If many people agree with you, it does not mean that you are right and it doesn't mean that if many people disagree with you, then you are wrong.

People have different opinions. We're all trying to live this life base on what works for us or maybe what makes sense to us.

We have a unique environment and a unique way of thinking. How I wish that it's just that simple. Well, whatever fits your values, follow them. For me, I'd stick to what the bible taught me, I struggled with it, I must say but this is what I value.

The Proposal

Oct 17, 2020.

In the mids of the pandemic, we're sharing love and planning for the future. To be honest, what's happening to the world right now made me realize a lot of things.

One of the things that made me realize is time. Though we have plenty of time right now by staying at home, we're not really sure of having plenty in the future. As this COVID came, along with the other crazy 2020 stuff. We're pretty much sure of the uncertainty that tomorrow can bring.

Anyway, back to the main topic. So, a few months ago, I prayed to God to give me a sign and courage for this marriage proposal. I asked Him to give me the date and time and all.

He gave a verse about worry. Then, I realized that I've been worried all this time. We could have been engaged about 3 years ago. Yes, I'm THAT sure of her.

Since that day, I began with my research about the necessary stuff needed for this day. I talked to my parents and my siblings first and planned the talk with her parents.

PERMISSION.

We ate at Shakey's in Muntinlupa and I'm the first one to arrive. They're coming from the church, while waiting for them, I practiced some of my lines. It was a really fun talk, they already talking about the wedding upon their arrival at the restaurant even before I asked for their permission.

They already knew. It's really pretty smooth talk. I'm so glad to have a family like theirs.

PLANNING.

This is the hardest part of it all. As much as I wanted to involve everyone, somehow, I'm having a hard time figuring out how things would work. Plus, this pandemic made every step a little harder than it should be.

I'm aiming for a lot of things and I wanted to make sure that I give her the best proposal that I can. Here are some of the proposal ideas I came up with.

  • Travel proposal - which is really impossible right now.
  • A proposal in the Gazebo - in one of our first date location.
  • The classic room proposal
  • A proposal in a resort with her closest friends.
As you probably know, I went with a proposal in their house, with the help of our family. Her dad made the flowers needed. Her mom and RJ helped me in designing the house a little. My mom cooked our food, dad helped in a lot in little ways. My brothers for the video and photography and the runner. Her brother for the music.

I tried so hard not to bother anyone in making all of these but I know that she will be happy when she found out that we all worked together for this.

The past few days before the date is pretty much a mess. I'm getting anxious about what will happen and decided to cancel it altogether at one point. I'm disappointed at many things and I wanted to bring the best for her but nothing seems to work out.

Looking back. I think it's God's way of reminding me about the message that He gave me a few months ago. That I should not worry. He will deliver.

On that day, in preparation and all. We went to her house, set everything up, cook the food, and wait for her arrival.

I was laughing. I was caught in the moment. Suddenly, I don't have any words. Everything around us might look like a mess, there's a child on the corner, a grandpa on the other side, there are people watching us around, and all I see is her.

I'm on my knees. I bring out the ring and pop the question. It seems like we're the only ones in the room. Nobody heard the question or even her answer but we're the happiest couple at that moment.

I can't believe it but...

We're engaged!

21st of September

Hello there.

It's been 2 months since my last post and here I am, writing to you again. We'll a lot of things happen in between and I thought that I might share it with you today.

First, Jassie's birthday:

We celebrated her birthday. Eat some awesome food like Sambokojin's Barbeque kit and some cooked food.

A simple celebration under this "new normal" set up.

It was a fun day and there are things happening in the background secretly and I'll tell that story in the next blog.

My family and I went to their home to celebrate with all the food. We played games and had so much fun.

I honestly don't know what to say but I'll try my best. I'm always thankful for your life and you know that. Another year was added to your age, you still look young and beautiful.

I'm praying for your success, for your dreams to be fulfilled. For your prayers to be met and for your desires to be satisfied.

I'm always hoping and trusting God to give you a happy life better than you can imagine.

Iloveyousomuch.

A Random Monday Morning Thoughts

With all of the things happening around. One thing is for sure that we're unsure of tomorrow. Life is full of uncertainty and there's no amount of planning that can bring assurance of what will happen tomorrow.

But we can't just live for today to worry about the next day. We live for today and live for tomorrow when it arrives.

I'm always thankful to God for giving me this life and allowing me to see His creation. To witness His goodness in my life.

I wanted to thank Him for literally everything. For being able to feel sadness, loneliness, and love. To feel all these emotions. To be able to have faith, and be able to trust.

To meet different kinds of people. Meet every kind of behavior. To be afraid and overcome fear. To explore the beauty of how everything interconnects. How my mind works and how little did we know about the world.

I'm sorry, I'm just blabbering some things today on a rainy Monday morning.

Hey Man.

I'm not a fan. It's not that I don't know you, in fact, I see you everywhere. I learned about you during the hype of your KDrama videos. I'm not into KDrama so I'm not able to watch it, but you have mad editing skills dude.

Later on, you appeared in several vlogs of my Favorite YouTubers, CongTV, RogerRaker, and plenty of others. It seems like you were very close to them and they're having fun when you're around.

I'm not really able to check your videos until I learned about what happened to you. All I can say is, why? Why I didn't watch this before. Your page is a treasure.

I've been listening to your songs in Spotify and it hurts. For someone that didn't even know you or not even a fan, I wanted to say thank you. What you did, your impact gave me a new perspective in life. Somehow, I wanted to be a better person.

I never get a chance to watch your journey while you're still alive. It's sad.

I guess that's all that I can say, for now, teka lang, I'll just catch up on watching your old videos. Peace.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

So no one told you life was gonna be this way.

I know, I know, we're late. The last episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S was aired last May 2004. That's 16 years, while the pilot episode was released in 1994. I'm turning 2 at the time.

It's fascinating, to be honest, and I'm not really into watching those old series or movies. But Jassiee told me to watch it. So, we watched it together, separately during the quarantine.

If you wanted to chill and just laugh. This TV series is the way to go. The elements and punchlines are high and I doubt not liking the team.

Last year or so, we finished How I Met Your Mother and its the best that I've watched. It has those plot twists and it's funny and also has several dramatic elements to the series but, as often as they compare the two series, it's completely different.

I mean, you will enjoy the two in their strengths. FRIENDS has a light flavor to it and you'll like it as you go deeper to those episodes. It's a masterpiece of a classic comedy.

Ross, Rachel, Phoebe, Joey, Monica, and Chandler. A picture of FRIENDS that go through a lot and they're always been with each other. Despite their difference, they enjoy each other's company.

There's not much that I can say about this but it's one of the best. You better watch it if you still haven't. If you're still having doubts about watching it, remember that it was first aired September of 1994 and it's still on the most watch series as of now. After I finished this series, I'm not shocked why it's still up there.

Cooper and her offsprings

If you didn't know yet, we have 2 female Shih-tzu and they're adorable and can be annoying at the same time.

Now, if you didn't know yet. We also have a mixed-breed male dog. He's a pretty big dog compared to our little Shih-tzu. Apparently, there was an unexpected romance between Cooper and YouTube (Yup, that's the name of the male dog. Blame my dad.)

So, they did what they have to do. We were devastated because of the fear of pregnancy and all the vaccines. You know, it's a lockdown. We might not afford the extra expenses.

Few weeks had passed and we have no idea what's happening and one day, my uncle noticed so many changes in Cooper's body. Signs of pregnancy, he said.

2 days after, she went crazy and don't know what to do and calmness was taken out of her body. We knew that this was it. Last week, Jul 21, during my rest day. Not knowing what to do, while I'm doing my thing on my laptop. I heard a weird dog cry. I'm pretty sure that Cooper is in pain but I realized that the cry is very tiny. So, I stood up knowing that there's a little buddy somewhere. I knew it.

She gave birth to 1 puppy. I have to set everything up for her. I remove my chair as she cleans her offspring. I gave them time alone, picked up my stuff, and settled outside. About an hour after, I decided to check them. And yeah, she already has 2 puppies. I'm happy and I know it. Few more hours later, we have found ourselves having 4 puppies.

I'm sorry for the bad photo and this is truly a mess. But I'm grateful for the safe delivery and the kids are healthy and alive and well.

here they are now:

They're so adorable and I'm pretty surprised by Cooper. I didn't expect her to be this good of a mother. She takes care of them and makes sure that her milk is being served.

Well, there was this time that after she gave birth here in our bedroom, we happened to find a place for her puppies. Apparently, that's not the place that Cooper wants. She stole one of the puppies and attempted to bring it back here in the bedroom. After much of negotiations, they settled in my mom and dad's bed.

Dattebayo

And so. Last July 10, I finally finished both Naruto and Naruto Shippuden episodes including all the movies and the filler episodes and it's amazing. This is one of the best anime I guess? Well, this is from the perspective of someone who does not watch anime.

I started watching it at the start of the quarantine, I don't remember when exactly but March 19 is the earliest record I found.

Initially, I watched Naruto out of nostalgia. This is a childhood anime for me and I grew up that this is my favorite anime that I never finished. Maybe because of what I feel while watching this back then.

It got me interested in the whole story. I watched several animes growing up, I witnessed Ghost Fighter, Dragon Ball Z, Flame of Recca, Inuyasha, Samurai X, Fushigi Yuugi among others.

What makes me interested in Naruto us probably the idea of being the least and the journey of being the best, well, eventually he really became the best. To add to that, as Naruto's ninja way "I won't go back on my word" narrative is one of the anime's inevitable pull.

By the way, this is a mess up review and thoughts about the anime. So, forgive me if it's all over the place. Thanks!

The first thing that I wanted to talk about is the feeling. It's always sad whenever I see flashbacks from Naruto's childhood. The feeling of being rejected and alone and being hated for something he is not.

Naruto has the Nine-Tails sealed inside him and people are afraid as rejected him as many people died from the incident that happened years ago. But this incident molded Naruto to what he is right now. Because of the pain he experienced, he understands other people's pain as well. This has been an important aspect of the anime up to the end.

He understands the pain and it changes the world. Other than that, there are lots of tear-jerkers all over the place. Deaths, storylines, flashbacks and several touching moments. Sometimes, you don't even need any dialogue.

The anime tells the story, not just Naruto's but even the whole shinobi universe, very well. There are lots of characters and stories that they told and you'll never be overloaded with information. It's amazing how they share the stories with multiple layers that make the fans lose their minds. There are moving turnarounds and amazing characters and with all those stories, you'll love Naruto's character more and more.

How they portray the villain is really good as well. It's complicated but it's understandable. They're powerful yet has a weak background that leads them to what they have become.

The whole narrative is simply amazing. As episodes pile up, excitement and wanting to watch another episode is pilling up as well. It's just great and I can't recommend it enough.

The ending (Spoiler alert) is Naruto's wedding, well, most of the last season is pretty light and chill overall. Seeing Naruto being married is like attending a friend's wedding. Knowing how he grew up makes us fans be proud of everything he has done.

Now, I started watching another anime related to Naruto, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, and it's about Naruto's son. It's an on-going series that has less than 200 episodes as of now. Once I catch up, this will be the first anime that I happened to wait for the weekly showing of episodes.

That's probably all that I can say for now?

As a result of my addiction to Naruto, please follow my Instagram page dedicated to Naruto fan arts. @myartdump.psd

On Messing up.

There are things that are holding me back. Uncertain things like we don't have enough, what would the future be like, can we handle it?

Yes, I worry but I'm the kind of person that if something messes up, the damage would only be for myself. No harm done for the people around. I'm not good at taking the blame but I'd rather be messed up alone than dragging other people when things go out of hand.

And this is not about not being able to trust anyone or thinking myself as stronger to handle those things. It's just, I don't like the feeling of bothering other people for being irresponsible.

I have this small tank in my head that gets overflowed when stuff happens left and right and my tendencies are to slack and play around and possibly figure it out later.

I just realize this now and it's pretty bad. I'm not sure yet on how will I overcome this. But yeah. That's probably all that I can say. Goodbye.

The Hard Fall presents: Sing Away

Here I am sitting on my bed
Pillows tucked between the wall and my back
Another one under this machine

As I juggle between the OPM songs
Emotions start beating
My mind starts to flash colors of the unknown
Dancing like I'm a disco ball

As the bass drop
Baggage starts to fall
Give me some guitar riffs
That energizes every feeling
And that drumbeat
Is in sync with my heartbeat

Let me feel
The soft melody
Of every keystroke

'cause that's just the way how I feel
'cause that's just the way how I am
All I do is sway
All I do is sing away

This feeling might not go away
My mind may also start to swell
It's like I'm drowning but I chose to stay

I saw this in my drafts, unfinished, os I decided to finish it today. Considering this a hardfall piece for some reason?

20/20

A few years ago. The year 2020 is quite an interesting year. Well, simply because it's 2020, people even make slogans broadcasting 2020 as a clear vision. Comparing the year to the normal and not blurry sight.

We're halfway through the year and it's kinda odd if we're still thinking that 2020 has something clear to offer. We started the year as the COVID-19 is being spread at a rapid rate. We had a piece of devastating news about Kobe earlier in the year, a volcano erupted out of nowhere, multiple homes were on fire, we had a social issue about the heartless killing of several Black Americans, 2 of my former Church leader died, government issues and many have died because of the COVID pandemic.

It's overwhelming, you know. We're being kicked down, push around, and on the edge of breaking down. And it seems like there's no one else to save us.

And then, upon pondering, I realized that 2020 really gave us a clearer vision. A 20/20 vision.

What am I saying?

This year gave us an opportunity to be with our family.
This year opened multiple business opportunities
This year allow us to see deaths in every day and made us value life even more
This year gave importance to our health
This year showed us the things that matter
This year gave way to have Christ the talk of the internet especially on Sundays
This year opened our eyes even more about our government
This year magnifies the community helping each other

There are things that God showed us this year. Though those that I listed about are not being experienced by everyone, I really hope and pray and possibly work together for the betterment of this country's situation.

There are still people with no work and has nothing on their table, there are still people trying to survive, living their lives in the hospital, risking their lives. Let us not overlook those and pray for them and take action.

We may be the person that will make this year truly clear.

Chrono Trigger

Finally, after playing this game for countless hours. I am able to finish this. I was still very young when I learned about this game. We had a computer back then and our computer technician showcased his collection of games by installing our computer.

There were like a hundred games installed and this is one of them and this is one of the most memorable. Me and my brother, Israel, used to play this all the time. It was our adventure to pass through time and save the world from Lavos.

The game was a port from a family computer. Sadly, there are buttons that we need to click in one of the levels and we're too young and dumb to figure out the controls. We already tried clicking on all the buttons and nothing works.

Fast forward to 4 years ago. This game was ported to my late Lumia Phone. I was so excited and played this game for a while. I'm able to pass through the previous obstacle and I'm pretty pumped to finally finish the game.

However, due to the phone's necessary update and the unstable Windows Phone platform. The saved items were wiped out as per the update. I'm so pissed off to try to install it again 'cause I know that it will happen again.

But in 2018, Steam released this on the platform and I didn't install it. I have a pretty good gaming spec and I'm a little uninterested since it's pretty old and I want to maximize my computer's power.

Then, this COVID happens. I don't have a game in mind aside from GTA, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm, and NBA 2k. So, I decided to play this game and feel those feels again.

I suddenly remembered how good this game was and how it's ahead of its time. This game was released in 1995 and was created by a collaboration of different video game legends, dubbed as the "Dream Team". We had someone from the Final Fantasy Series, the Dragon Quest Series, and Dragon Ball (Yes!). For more information, you may check their Wiki page.

It's worth playing in 2020. Undoubtedly, amongst the top games of all time. Thank you, Crono, Marle, Luca, Frog, Robo, Ayla, and Magus.

Please enjoy some of the scenes from the game and some artwork below:

PS: Those are not my artworks. I found it somewhere long ago and I forgot where I got them. Credits to the owner.

In 3 months

This is the longest time that we're away from each other since we became a couple roughly 5 years ago. I just started working with a new company and the COVID thing is not much of a big deal.

Then, the numbers of confirmed cases started to bloat. We never had a chance to meet each other. Then, the lockdown begins.

But, the ECQ has been converted to GCQ, and then we're able to see each other. She went here to our house during my rest day and she had to work for a day here and spend 1 of her rest days as well.

I really miss this gh0rL. She's my everything and I thank God for this opportunity. I fired several hugs and some kisses some time when she arrived. I don't know if she noticed but I can't help but smile.

Imagine, we almost had a fight for not being able to see each other when there's an opportunity. But it all fades when this day came. I lack abilities but I made sure that I serve her during her stay. I cooked some food and show her some recipes that I've been working on.

But during her last day here. She just slept and I'm here alone doing nothing but watching her sleep and watching Naruto. AHAHAHAH.

When I got tired of watching Naruto, I focused my attention to the sleeping lady beside me. I mean, this is the girl that I fell in love with and she's so small. She can fit in just 1/8th of my bed.

When I'm looking at her, I know that I'm falling in love more. It's been more than 4 years and she still makes me love her more. We're more comfortable now than the last 4 years but I still want to impress her and make her smile at some point.

I still want to be a better person just because of her. I'm way more than blessed to have her. Aside from her prettiness and napakaputi nya ngayon, badtrip. Just look at our contrast.

She's been kind and not considerate. She's been a great listener and she still hates me from some things. It's hard to blame her. I also hate myself.

I don't have any words for now but I'm glad that I found the one. There's no going out.

2 Weeks?

I've been tagged several times by my batchmate in their Facebook posts about several things, then I will end up reading about missing some stuff on the office or some person.

It's kinda interesting to me as I look into it.

Like I have this batchmate in this new company that I'm working with and we've only known each other for 2 weeks. Sure, we have some memories that we can cherish. Our experiences are quite unique and they kinda nice people.

In those 2 weeks, I've discovered some of their traits and interesting stories behind it. One of them is an introvert just like me and the other one is an extrovert. So, when we're in a conversation with other people than us, she can manage to take over the conversation without our effort.

By the way, we're only 3 in the batch. So, I can say that we're pretty intact. We get to know each other outside the working hours, I mean, we only talk during breaks and lunch break. Whenever we have free time.

My extrovert friend is a gamer, particularly a mobile gamer and I think she's pretty good at playing Mobile Legends and she has pretty huge followers. She has a pet dog that sadly died while we're on training. She can't help herself but to breakdown, causing her to rush home that day.

My introvert friend is a secretive one, at some point she doesn't want to share her social media. She's my rival in taking the thigh part chicken in Ministop. She has an interesting story about her love life. She knows how to save and all.

There are other things that I learned about them. I'm just telling this stuff due to the thought that they share that they miss each other for just having to know them in person in just 2 weeks.

Imagine if you have known the person for 2 years already? Or more? Missing someone is kinda huge. Anyway, that's all that I wanted to share for now.

Classic Computer Games

So, I saw this somewhere and was inspired to list some games that I grew up with.

Super Mario

I think this timeless classic was everyone's game that they grew up with and I believe most of us haven't finished the game. This game knows how levels really work, you know. There are several reasons why I'm not able to finish this and I'm not sure which.

One of the reasons is probably I suck at this game, did you know the feeling of having 100 lives and not being able to pass through this specific level and you ended up quitting?

Another reason is my console broke. I remember multiple times in the past that our family computer just couldn't take it and just break down. We're not rich but we tend to be wreckless having that kind of device for our childhood enjoyment. We get too excited and probably frustrated about dying in the game.

or maybe, I just grew out of it? I don't know.

GTA Vice City

One of the first games that I played with a real PC. This was lit back in the days. Just imagine having to explore a virtual world and not sticking on some storyline. I love those cars that I stole and throwing bombs at everybody and yes, those cheat codes. Those ThugsTools and Aspirine. THIS IS HOW YOU ENHANCE TYPING SPEED WITH UTMOST ACCURACY, play GTA!

I never really did the missions here, I just came here to throw grenades, have those nice cars, and the police car chase. And yeah, don't forget about the stunts.

Counter-Strike

Oh high school life. These people introduced me to this very cool game about firing shots as a soldier or a terrorist. This game is massive and this game still exists up to now. So, you have to play as a team, a terrorist to have hostages and bomb planting abilities and counter-terrorist as yeah, counter a terrorist.

It's pretty a cool game to have this bonding experience with your high school friends. All the teases and stories about this are fun.

StarCraft

Some people play Red Alert as their go-to game for this strategic war games. Me and my brother have StarCraft. You can play with 3 types of army or races to choose from.

The Terran - Hybrid Humans
Protoss - Technological Advanced HUmaniod
and Zerg - plain alien. Hahaha

My favorite to play with is Protoss. I mean, technology is pretty cool.

Chrono Trigger

The first time that I learned about mending the world through time. Chrono Trigger is an adventure game where you play with Crono, Luca, and Marle as they explore the world of different ages to save the world from Lavos.

It has a classic gameplay of RPG where you take turns for an attach and this has a very interesting plot. I think everyone should play this. This is pretty old but a truly timeless - get it? Timeless? Because the team works with time and.. oh forget it.

This is also the first game that I've played with that introduced the concept of jobs in RPG games. You have Chrono as the Swordsman, Luca as the Gunner, and Marle as the Archer and it gets better when you reach the part where they learned about magic and their elements.

I'm actually playing this now. I take time to finish this but I'm absorbing it all.

Those are the games that I grew up with. What are yours?

Naruto Sage Mode

I'm feeling a lot lately, as I said as well in my previous blog and I'm thinking of going back to using metaphors again. But anyway.

I'm a mess. Like everything's a mess in my mind. I don't know what to do, I'm getting afraid and it's frustrating. So, today. While everything is on a rampage, I took a bath and thought about my favorite anime that's I'm still watching, Naruto.

If you don't watch Naruto and you're being alienated by this, Naruto has this special state called Sage Mode. This is a very powerful state that only a few shinobi can accomplish and even perfected.

This state is obtained by absorbing that nature's chakra instead of the usual inside chakra. To achieve this, you have to be perfectly still and in peace.

I'm not an Otaku but, I tried this. Not for the sense of obtaining immense power to defeat the administration (Ooppss) but to discover how does it really feels and many people that I know that practice meditation every day. So, why not give it a try.

So, I sit like Naruto's position above, set an alarm for 5 minutes (This is a good start but it usually goes for 10 to 20 minutes per session), I closed my eyes and focus on my breathing and nothing else.

Breathe in..

Breathe out..

Breathe in..

Breathe out..

I thought about a lot of things but that's okay, as long as you divert back your focus on the breathing and tadah, my alarm suddenly ring - I didn't even notice that 5 minutes has passed.

Afraid that, I felt guided, I don't know why but I happened to do more things and interested in many things. I didn't worry about time but I keep on working on stuff.

I might to this every day.

My go-to preaching

Have you ever have this favorite preaching, that you just listen to it over and over again and it never gets old.

Well, you know I do.

You see, since yesterday, I'm feeling something that files up. I'm not quite sure but I'm feeling sad for some reason and afraid of the future. Something inside me feels hopeless.

And no, it's not about the lockdown and all the COVID thing. It's something that I'm still discovering. It's pretty weird for me since I thought everything's fine in my life. I just working in a different company that pays a lot more that I can even save more for the future.

But something feels incomplete.

I'm watching several series, lining up some activities that I interest me. But yeah, something feels incomplete. I don't know what to do and where to go. I lost my appetite for reading and it's a drag for me to do so.

In an attempt to resolve this, I look back to the previous times where I felt this way before. I remember one of my life coaches told me to think about what I'm doing before I started feeling this way. The resolution is the Gospel.

So, I opened my laptop and searched for my favorite preacher's powerful preaching about Hosea and Gomer.

Now, I feel a lot better. Way waaay better.

Thank You, Mayor Joni

Photo courtesy: Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide Facebook page

Shocking news last night. Daughter of JILCW founder Bro. Eddie Villanueva and the late Sis. Dory Villanueva, Mayor Joni Villanueva-Tugna has died because of sepsis secondary to bacterial pneumonia.

I'm lost for words.

Sis. Joni is also a Pastor. I remember when the time that she first run in the office as the Mayor of Bocaue, Bulacan. In the most fascinating way, Joni and her opponent received the same votes. And according to the Election code, they can settle the winner by a toss coin or draw lots.

They chose toss coins. Best of Five.

This was a funny way and seems like a foolish idea to decide on a government official. 3 toss coins, Joni has become the mayor.

It was interesting for the nation and definitely looks stupid for some. But the JIL people and those who are close to Sis. Joni, knew that this is a miracle. This has been prayed for months, and our faith is in God.

This was just a teaser. In the next election, Joni won by more than 9,000 votes and lately being on the trend because of what she's been doing in Bocaue in this time of the pandemic.

For me, Sis. Joni has always been the voice behind one of my favorite songs, Just To Please You. And little did I know that this song will mature into a tribute of her own.

I don't know much of her, aside from being in the Jose-Villanueva family, being the mayor of Bocaue, wife of former CIBAC party list Sherwin Tugna, one of the KKBs ate, leader of ZOE TV 11, a singer and a pastor.

God has blessed her. She's been a blessing to many and even to this nation. Thank you for her life, Lord.

We're praying for your family, this has been a really sad year for the Jose-Villanueva family but you're now with your mom, Sis. Dory. The JIL people, your close friends, and your family have been mourning down here but we all know that you're both in the best place ever.

Thank you, Ate Joni.
