Take me to January

Ola January. It's a new year with a new life. I'm still learning a lot of things with my wife and basically, life away from my parents.

We spent the new year here in our home. My feet hurt so bad and our home is continuously being renovated. We are on the last parts, fixing some things and they're just painting the home.

We also pick up my things from home and slowly moved in. We already sleep here and somehow it felt really nice. It's being renovated for 2 months. I really thought that it will only take a week. We are easily burning money and we still have lots of stuff to buy.

But I'm happy, Jassiee's happy too. I can see it in her smile whenever she talks about the house.

Anyway, I'm semi-back to the regular programming. I watched several animes, I caught up with these 2 ongoing and sought after animes.

Attack On Titan - The Final Season Part 2

Demon Slayer Season 2: Entertainment District Arc

I'm so hyped about this. These 2 animes are one of my favorites from the past year, to the point that I read the manga as well. I enjoy both anime's current arcs. It's really good. I love the consistency of the animation in AOT and I love the details in Demon Slayer. The story is crisp. AOT's plot twist is even more impactful in the anime than the manga.

Tokyo Revengers

Another classic in the making. I started this last year and got really confused with the story. It feels like I'm missing something, which I did. I watched it the wrong way, by watching the summary of several episodes. I'm not sure why they did that part, but anyway.

Tokyo Revengers is about a time-traveler, just like the anime Erased. The concept is the protagonist can go back to the past, 12 years from the present, and can change the future outcomes by making some decisions. The goal is to save his ex-girlfriend. It's a really interesting story about gangs and the butterfly effect. Highly recommended.

Mieruko-Chan

This is the anime that I'm currently watching. Mieruko-chan is about a young girl who happens to see a ghost. The interesting thing is she chose to ignore them and it's working but that action plan does not lessen the chills. I'm only on episode 3 and I'm really expecting more, this is highly recommended by several Anime Tiktokers.

TWENTY-TWENTY-ONE

My 2021 summary.

Playlist:

MOMENT OF A DAY IN A YEAR:

Morning is such a symbol of hope. A restart figure, it's a chance to make things right one more time. A time to think about things and try to redo some mistakes, salvage some broken life. And this morning I had one of the best breakfasts I've ever had, full of hope, passion, and excitement. Itadakimasu!

Lunch is really quite simple. Nothing fancy but a lot of preparation for the future. Time spend wisely and carefully. Food has been cooked at the perfect temperature, timing is really perfect. Nothing to complain about, nothing to be pumped about. Still, thank God for this moment of waiting. He gave us patience and peace.

Dinner has most of the fanciest food. From appetizers to drinks, main dishes, and dessert. This has been the union of the best dishes in town. Perfect orchestrated. God ordained. As lovely as it is. The fuller our heart is. It's really amazing. Best meal I've ever had.

BIBLE STORY OF THE YEAR:

Psalm 139
For the director of music. Of David. A psalm.

1 You have searched me, Lord,
    and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
    you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
    you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
    you, Lord, know it completely.
5 You hem me in behind and before,
    and you lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
    too lofty for me to attain.

7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
    Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
    if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
    if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
    your right hand will hold me fast.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
    and the light become night around me,”
12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
    the night will shine like the day,
    for darkness is as light to you.

13 For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made in the secret place,
    when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
    all the days ordained for me were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts,[a] God!
    How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,
    they would outnumber the grains of sand—
    when I awake, I am still with you.

19 If only you, God, would slay the wicked!
    Away from me, you who are bloodthirsty!
20 They speak of you with evil intent;
    your adversaries misuse your name.
21 Do I not hate those who hate you, Lord,
    and abhor those who are in rebellion against you?
22 I have nothing but hatred for them;
    I count them my enemies.
23 Search me, God, and know my heart;
    test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
    and lead me in the way everlasting.

A LOVE LIFE

After 6 years of being a couple. We tie the knot last December 1, 2021, at Leanel's Garden in Tagaytay. Together with our family and closest friends. It was a day of a lifetime. We are glad to see the smiles on their faces. We are so happy that they are so happy about our relationship. We love hearing their stories, knowing that they learned something and got a really nice and unique experience, and even became inspired by the words they've heard.

Above all of that. I thank God every day for giving me, Jasmin to be my partner throughout my life. I've been blessed with too much. She's so amazing and wonderful, one of a kind and she's really nice to me. She is always mindful of me and took care of me when I'm sick.

She gets mad whenever I'm hardheaded and she always makes me wanna follow her. I could not ask for more. She is love, she is grace. She is God's gift to me.

Promises have been made.
God is our witness.
Our future is fun and bright.
All glory to God.

I love you so much, Jas.

SPIRITUALITY. RELATIONSHIP. GOD

I am Yours, You are mine
My reward, my delight
All my life I abide in You
I'm the branch, you're the vine
Everything I want to find
All my life I abide in You

This year, I started listening to podcasts as well.

Matteo Guidicelli's MattRuns

It's fun listening to conversations from people with different perspectives.

Pamamanhikan

The first major event this year is the Pamamanhikan, Jassiee prepared a presentation for the details of the wedding while my uncles and aunties visited us here. It was a fun and fruitful conversation.

After a year of Pandemic. The vaccine has been made available. I got my first and second does last June and July.

We then went to Batangas, Cavite, Novaliches, and around Muntinlupa one weekend. We talked to our relatives and our principal sponsors to propose to be a part of our wedding. Glady only one declined, it was here in Muntinlupa.

Bridal Shower and Bachelorette Party

Our lovely friends from KKB slash TFs shash TROPA, surprised us with this amazing party. They had food contributions and a program, with games and all. It was a really fun day to have this celebrated. I never really thought that this love that we have exceeds beyond our family, even our friends are happy for us and this relationship. Sana masarap ulam niyo lagi. Mahal na mahal namin kayo ni Jasmin. Syempre highlights yung games and cakes. Hahaha!

We are satisfied and they exceeded our expectations when it comes to our Prenup photos, they took photos everywhere and at every angle and they made sure that we have the perfect shot. EDPS Studio is highly professional, they knew exactly how to satisfy the clients by their cheerful smiles and actions. It's easy to identify that they're enjoying their jobs. Here are some of my favorite shots from the Prenup:

When I proposed to Jasmin last 2020 and set our wedding date in December, I knew at the time that 2021 will only be a passing year. I don't know the exact term for it but what I meant is that 2021 will be a year of preparation for the wedding and it is. Most of our 2021 events were all about our wedding. We were busy preparing ( 98% of the time, Jassiee. Yup, she did all the work. I just nod and agree.) I initially want to be married in the first or second quarter of 2021. But she has a different plan, and I'm not familiar with weddings, so there's nothing else to do but to nod. So, here are some of the photos from the wedding:

Both Jasmin and I were in nerve as this day got nearer and nearer. I got worried that the crowd might not have fun and relate to what's happening. I'm worried about the whole program and suppliers, I'm worried about Jasmin. I told her that if anything goes wrong we just need to accept it and have fun at our wedding. Our priority is to get married.

Just a few days before the wedding God granted us peace. All the worries went away. It seems like God is telling us that He got this. He got us covered. Which is amazingly true. God took over and flow like a river in the whole ceremony. More on this is my dedicated blog for our wedding soon.

Extended Wedding at Batangas

Our relatives in Batangas have this really crazy idea to have an extended wedding celebration in Batangas. We were really surprised by what they did. It was all fun and food. We truly appreciate their efforts in cooking the food and preparing everything. They showed us love way beyond than we imagined.

After the celebration, we eat some Lomi. Of course.

Went swimming as well in this really good spot.

This year, we also have a situation in our family. Mom, Egypt, Israel got really sick. Mom experienced a weakening blood sugar high. Her body got really weak that she can't walk straight on her own, we had her examined a few times. Egypt and Israel got headaches and colds. We all had our COVID test and only Israel got the positive.

Good thing that it all went by. We are all well and healthy. We, then, all completed our vaccine shots.

Our December is just full of stuff. After the wedding, we attended different parties and all.

Our first Christmas party as a combined family of Casauay and Aquino

Ate Kat visited us on Christmas day. We are so glad to see her!

Another party from Jasmin's college friends, the CStars. This is the first time that I met them as well.

TROPA Christmas party. It was fun and so full of food. It was nice and full of laughter.

Lastly, our home is being fixed. We bought this home last quarter and we just started to fix it. This is truly God's miracle. God answers prayers.
