This is November

November happened pretty fast. So, here's a quick recap of what happened.

Victory Alabang 25th

Yes, Victory Alabang celebrated its 25th anniversary as a church and there's no other way we can celebrate but together, with fellow believers who were blessed by each other.

We sang and shouted. We praised and felt blessed.

And we receive a commemorative card that we can use for discounts in several shops around Alabang. How cool.

There are also food trips after the celebration. There's a food stab, so the food is basically free. You just add cash if it exceeds the amount on the stab.

Year End Party

I also attended our company's year-end party in Shangrila. It's my first time there and this is my first and probably the last year-end party! Hahaha

Me and my fellow teammates.

And, I met Joan.

VG Christmas Party

We also had a simple yet fun and meaningful Christmas party with our Victory Couples Group.

Birthday

I don't have pictures but I celebrated a simple birthday here in our home with some caldereta, igado, pasta and graham.

Here's my wife's birthday gift to me. This has been on my cart for a while, and I know for a fact that I can't afford it. But God gave me a very beautiful and loving wife, she gave me this.

Then a quick station update.

And oh, I now have a mini studio for my figure photography. I'm actually having fun.

Wife and doggie sighting

Yes, another station update, now with my highly elevated table.

Monthly Shiro

Fin.

And the last week of the month is my wife's 9th month as a pregnant person. We have purchased tons of stuff for the baby. We have the crib, the shirts, and diapers and we got almost everything that we needed for a newborn. I'm honestly excited and afraid at the same time.

The next few days will be very difficult and different. She can give birth anytime from now. We're praying for safe delivery for both Jas and our baby.

Hunter x Huntner

Hunter x Hunter (2011)
Date aired: Oct 02, 2011 to Sep 24, 2014
Duration: 23 min
148 Episodes
Genres: Action, Adventure, Fantasy, Martial Arts, Shounen, Super Power, Isekai
Rating: ★★★★★★★★★☆

This anime is really popular and I don't understand why. I love Yuyu Hakusho, and I saw where Hunter x Hunter got the inspiration from and I don't like it back then. It feels like it's a cheap copy of a classic anime. Then, years later I found out that it's actually from the same Mangaka. Again, I didn't watch it because it feels like lazy writing as it has the same four guys from Yuyu Hakusho.

But, I saw this Tiktok where the host asked several Otakus about their "best anime of all time", it's mostly Shonen and there's this particular guy who picked Hunter x Hunter over Attack on Titan. Which blew my mind. It has to be really good if you're picking it against arguably the best work of fiction.

So, I immediately added Hunter X Hunter to my watch list and actually the next one in line. I just finished it and it's a masterpiece. At first, it really feels like a classic shonen, which is nice and expected. What I didn't expect is the lack of fight scenes, not really lacking-lacking but the show is interesting without fighting left and right.

And when there's a fight scene, expect it to be good. It's not just random punching and kicking, every move has its meaning and explanation. Aside from the action-packed fights, you'll be amazed by the amount of thought given to the individual scenes.

It has memorable characters and it's easy to love them all. Every arc gets me really excited, the Chimera Ant Arc is the most controversial in the series. It's the longest arc in the anime and some called it the best arc in anime and some just don't like it at all.

And I get both sides. There are good and bad parts but It's an experience. The ending of the arc feels weird but satisfying, you might complain about getting all this build-up just for this peaceful ending. For me, it's wonderful. Really unexpected but it's a  beautifully written ending.

My Happy Marriage

My Happy Marriage
Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon; My Happy Marriage
Date aired: Jul 05, 2023 to Sep 20, 2023
Duration: 23 min
Genres: Drama, Fantasy, Military, Romance, Shoujo, Super Power, Supernatural, Iyashikei
Rating: ★★★★★★★☆☆☆

I've been hearing about this anime for a while and I just brush it off. It just not appealing to me. But, It gets recommended multiple times on different platforms as I look for an anime to watch. So, I gave it a shot. I should have hopped in sooner.

This show is really nice. It's a story of a classic arranged marriage and some uncertainty. The plot is the usual, but they executed it really well. The pacing is slow and steady, but it's not boring. It has elements of fantasy and superpower, which I believe are unnecessary to the plot. But a nice element to be added to the show.

I love the drama, you'll feel the emotions and it's a satisfying comeback. The dynamic of the main characters is really lovely. I can't put it into words but I can assure you that this is a must-watch anime this year.
