Liwanag Sa Dilim

More than a decade ago.
2 precedential election
2004 and 2010

We campaigned for Bro. Eddie as the president of the Philippines. We failed, the majority wants a different leader. But we learned a lot. We learned about politics, and we learned about different policies and different stands.

What we wanted is a clean government free of corruption.

This year, it was Leni Robredo, the current Vice President of the Philippines. She is the best candidate.

If we look at her track record, she has done great things.
If we look at integrity, her office has the highest audit rating from COA.
If we look at experience, educational background, or even dynasties.

Akala namin nakamit na namin ang tagumpay.

Masakit. Sobrang nakakalungkot.

Dahil mayroong ibang plano
Ang Diyos na tayo'y pagbuklurin
Para matunton ang pag-kakaisang ninanais
Na tayo'y patuloy na mangangarap
at patuloy magtutulungan

Dahil higit sa kulay
Higit sa simbulo
Tayo ay tao, tayo ay Pilipino.

Nagmahal, patuloy na magmamahal
Dito sa ating bayang

Essential

I read a news today that one senator called POGO as "Essential".

In the previous week, I don't want to get bothered to the point that I'll make a blog out of it. I mean, I'm already bothered enough by the government. So, making a blog about it can be really frustrating and somehow a waste of time.

I still have still small hope about all of this turning around. But, earlier, I wanted to cry for this nation. The leader of this country is not bothered enough to protect the our land. Other nation is claiming one of the recently discovered lands and they're letting them claim it. They didn't do early planning for the pandemic, they prioritize foreign entry rather than saving the people from the virus.

They close their eyes to what's happening. Ignoring red flags and playing the blame game. Empowering military forces than medical frontliners. Thinking that guns are part of the solution. They call out those who criticize the administration and threaten to be summoned from a foreign land.

I'm glad that Taiwan stood their grounds and support the Filipina, protecting her rights and freedom in their country but it's sad at the same time, to think that a foreign land has more guts to save people, not of theirs. Taiwan is saving Filipinos from their own country. Just let that sink in. I mean what do I expect for this country who called Gambling Operators as Essential in this pandemic. That providing justice is based on political party and that magic triangle. I regret supporting you. You gave us high hopes for our future and showed your potential while you're still a mayor. Well, we were fooled. Your political will is merely just words. Thanks for protecting the Chinese, rather than your own people.

Praying that our eyes will be opened and use this experience to elect better leaders. We already saw it in Pasig and many places. We can do this for the whole nation as well.

Senador Joel Villanueva

Mom and Dad woke me up as early as 6am to vote. I quickly ran to the wash room and prepare for this election. My eyes were still broken in half as we walk to our precints but I'm ready to vote. It's a bit long line here in this classroom but I thought about a little sacrifice that I can provide for my country.

I casted my vote. I saw the receipt and review it, and I'm done.

I voted for, of course, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte for President. Senator Alan Peter Cayetano for Vice President, CIBAC for Partylist..

And for Senator?

But who is Joel Villanueva?

  • He is an ex-basketball player
  • UST Graduate - Bachelor of Science in Commerce Degree, major in Economics
  • Harvard Graduate - Graduate study in Business Administration
  • PUP Graduate - Doctor of Humanities, Honoris Causa
  • TESDA Graduate - Barista
  • Gawad Dangal ng Lipi for Public Service Awardee
  • DEVEX Manila 40 Under 40 International Development Leaders Awardee
  • Most Outstanding Alumni Awardee (UST)
  • Assistant Majority Floor Leader
  • Deputy Minority Leader
  • Youngest and first partylist representative for Commission on Appointments
  • 9-year Congressman for CIBAC (Citizen's Battle Against Curruption)
  • 5-year Director General of TESDA

His Accomplishments in House of Representative
  • Anti-Red Tape Act
  • RA No. 9184, which called for a modernized, standardized and regulated procurement process to help root out corruption.
  • He also worked hard in calling for additional incentives for members of the Public Attorney's Office to boost their effort in providing free and quality legal assistance to the poor.
  • Joel also distinguished himself in the landmark legislation that established a comprehensive juvenile justice and welfare system under the auspices of the Department of Justice.
  • He also sponsored the law on absentee voting, which provided an opportunity for Filipinos abroad to exercise their right to vote. He supported the Senior Citizens' Act to provide additional privileges to the elderly who spent their years working and serving the public.

His accomplishments in TESDA

  • 10 Million Trainees
  • 9 Million Graduates
  • 72% Employment rate from TESDA Grads
  • ISO Certified, first in Education Sector

That's a mouthful list of titles and accomplishments. But I know this man differently from the others. He's one of my inspiration when it comes to leadership, he will always be the KKB(Kristyanong Kabataan para sa Bayan) Chairman, our KKB Chairman, he taught us to love God and Country and showed us how us, youths, can make a wave and an impact to this world.

2016 Elections

After I voted for those people that I think deserved a seat in the government, I sleep, and later be ready for work. Then, few hours later, I'm so busy at work, our lunch break came in and gave me a sneak peak of what's happening in the election results.

It's amazing, this view gave my eyes some sort of salty water, and I was ordering food at pantry. I can't hide it, I was electrified of what I saw. The KKB movement has a representative in the Senate. May KKB na sa SENADO, and I'm so proud of what I'm seeing.

Then, flashbacks came, after all the campaign practices from previous elections for Bro. Eddie Villanueva in 2004, 2010 (President) and 2013 (Senate) we've finally reached victory. It makes me cry up until now as I realize the sacrifices of many just to elect a God-fearing-nation-loving man of God.

It really amazes me just thinking how God did it all. There's indeed a season for everything. Now, the Former Congressman, Former Director General, a KKB Chairman is now a Senator. To God be the Glory!

2016 Election Bets

Few days away to the 2016 Election. There will be lots of changes in the upcoming months. Not just a new president, new government officials but new policies as well, new leadership and voters will surely hope for a change. A good change, a change that everyone will encounter.

Yes, it is true that change must start from us.

And I'll vote for Duterte. Why?

I have uncles who lives in Davao. We have a very positive remarks in regards to his leadership. Accomplishment in Davao? We can ask for a list. I mean, we need this man for this country and I think he's the most qualified candidate to be the president (Respect to Sen. Miriam). Sen. Miriam is very intelligent, some claims that if Duterte didn't run for President, Duterte supporters will support Miriam. But not me, I don't think I'll do that. This is an opinion, by the way. There's this moment in an interview that shows her as blasphemous, here I found the clip:

Grace Poe does great as well and Jejomar Binay and Mar Roxas. They all can compete for the position. But we need to have a leader that can do it NOW.

For Vice President, I'll go with Alan Peter Cayetano. Simply because, he's the one Rodrigo Duterte needs. If duterte will listen to anyone, it would be Cayetano, for sure.

Senator? Long list, my friend, but my vote will be on Joel Villanueva. Not just of what he did to KKBs (Kristyanong Kabataan para sa Bayan) as our Chairman. As I was one of the leaders that looks up to him for what he did for the Youth, how he handle us and introduce us more of God. He's a great leader. I can also back him up with his accomplishment at CIBAC partylist and of course, who would forget TESDA?

There's also other senator that I think is qualifies for the position, there's Dick Gordon, Greco Belgica (A Pastor) and Manny Pacquaio.
Vote wisely my friends! :)

PS: Jasmin, no worries! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Eleksyon 2013

I start my day with a sip on my coffee and a bite on pandesal. I'm so excited to vote. I'm a first timer. I went to Baywalk, Bayanan to cast my vote. I stayed there for about 45mins to an hour. Andami kaseng naboto. naabutan ko pa si Mayor Aldrin San Pedro at Athan Gutierrez.
I spent less than 5 minutes inside the cluster precinct, medyo kabado pa sa pagshade at pagpasok ng balota sa PCOS machine.

Vice Mayor, Mayor, Partylist, Senador
4 lang naman ang nishade-an ko.

Temy Simundac
Aldrin San Pedro
CIBAC
Bro. Eddie Villanueva

after I cast my vote, I went home and nap then I went to church to help them. went back home and went to baywalk to be a watcher. I also collect the number of votes for CIBAC and Bro. Eddie.

Ngayon, andami kong kasamang nalulungkot. pati panahon nakikiayon.
alam ko di pa tapos. pero. hai. Lord, Kayo na pong bahala.

Election 2013

I just watched the videos of Bro. Eddie's TVC on Youtube. I'm still wondering why he didn't win. as I watch those videos, I say this with honesty, it makes me wanna cry. the change that we long for a long time has been delayed. with all due respect to the present administration, you're doing good Mr. President!

it is just I have different vision.

God has a different plan I guess, I still trust Him, He has better plans, I'll just wait and hear Him say, "I told you so, I have bigger and better plans son." I just look forward to that.

I know this is super off the trend, but next year is election year once again. I just hope that this time people will vote candidates not because they're popular or what but because they are qualified and righteous and have something good to do in this nation.

Lord, if this is the right time for that change! let it be. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Eddie Ako
Kailan mag-uumpisa magkaisang kumilos na,
Kailan pa? Eddie Ngayon
Sino pa nga bang gagawa? Sinong pag-sisimulan
Sinong magtataguyod ng bayan ni Juan?
Eddie Ako.

-Eddie Ako by Gloc 9 (the most beautiful campaign jingle in the history!)

Nakakamiss mag-chant! Siguro kung alam mo to, nung binasa mo to may tono.

6 years? After 6 years? What would happen?

I Can't Stand.. Sitting down

Love Your Neighbors

The Presidential and Vice-Presidential Proclamation

2010 Presidential Candidate

EDDIE AKO!

diba year of Jubille ngayon?

iyon ay kung ididiklara mo sa sarili mo na this is the Year of Jubilee.
pero sa totoo lang, ang sakit!
pero kailangan mag-move on!

Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:57-58

anu bang sasabihin ko?
DI PA TAPOS ANG LABAN?
O TAPOS NA ANG LABAN!

Bangon Pilipinas - Muntinlupa --- Pasasalamat Day!

Another text BLAST from kuya rommel to the Bangonites!
saying that there is a pasasalamat day for them..

eto ang line up, We want to see at How Great Is Our GOD.

as usual, Projectionist ako but this time, I'm Gonna strive for the best..
kailangan Perfect! haha! after a long long time ng pagiging Projectionist ko, kinabahan ako, parang ung una akong sinabak ni ate kat sa Multimedia..
dahil, iba ang Worship Leader at Back-up (from the body of Christ), pati congregation.
although hindi para sa kanila ung ginagawa ko, kailangan better than the previous works ko.
pagtingin ko sa congregation nakatingin sila sa projector pati ang worship leader so pagnagkamali ako, nakakahiya.. hahaha! at napag-isip isip ko na di dapat tuwing may occasion lang ganun. dahil araw araw ay special day for God. aun..

maraming nagtestimony, nakakatawa, nakakaiya at nakakaamaze.
kahit natalo sa DAYAAN we're still standing. at di pa tapos si Lord.
wala pang nadedeclare na President nu?!

Ang Pilipinas

Philippine flag

Meron pa kayang pag-ahon
sa mga darating na henerasyon?
sa mga buwayang payak sa pera
ang bayan natin my pag-unlad pa ba?
panu pa kaya tayo makakausad
ang pag-asa natin sa lupa sumasadsad
bakit ba may taong makasarili
sa kanyang kapwa ay walang paki.

- Eryl Hermano

isang simpleng katanungan..

buhay
mahal
patawad
huwag sumuko

Bangon Blog

The Bangon Pilipinas Slate
Bangon Pilipinas

May 11, 2010
          the day after the election
unofficial tally of votes has been published

As of today, Mr.Noynoy Aquino leads the presidential race, next is the former president Joseph Estrada, followed by Sen. Manny Villar, Gibo Teodoro, and Bro Eddie Villanueva.
at the fall of noon, presidential candidates begun to concede to Noynoy including Bro.Eddie. i can't take it, i cant accept the results of this election.

Last Night, at the Bangon Pilipinas Headquarters in Muntinlupa, i am still hopeful even Noynoy Leads the Election because of what i've read that night in the "Youth For Bro. Eddie" fan page, it says "Magugulat sila.."
looking Forward, Optimistic and hopeful.. until the sun rises, the position of bro.Eddie didn't move, his number of votes more or less a million, but i didn't entertain that, i went home around 7:00 in the morning, still hopeful. i slept, i look at my phone, reads it's messages, hear the news, nothings change.. then someone texted me that bro.eddie concedes.  BOOOOOOM!!!!
everything's fall.

i ask mom, dad, my bro's, my tita, the kkb's.. why?
i didn't really accept the results.
i am still holding on God's promises through the Prophets He sent here.
God sent the prophets here not to tell a lie but to prophesy.

later on...
i go online, surf the web, blogged, read, read, read, comment, like, chat until i saw the picture of Bro.Eddie, look at it, stare at it closely, i look at his delightful smile, my tears begun to fall. i write a comment on his fanpage, tears keep on falling down..
i ask myself then, why this things are happening? then i remember the testimony of Prophet Zadu that there was a righteous man in his country, he was unpopular so he lose the election, but the winner of that said election gave way to the righteous man to be the president of his country. God moves in mysterious way. Ü
so until now, i give my trust to my God, my vision is clear, i'm having a strong faith, He has a plan, at magugulat sila.. as i write this on my notebook, i am listening into gloc9 song EDDIE AKO.

i know, i've done the right thing
i am not ashamed for supporting bro.eddie
in fact, i am proud of what am i doing..
the info below are the list of support i gave to Bangon Pilipinas Party.
