November Rain

Last month of being single and I decided to take a break from watching anime or any other series and movies. I just read some manga, this is to prepare for the wedding, including the messages and the vows. I'll resume probably next month after the wedding hype has settled down.

Here are the highlights of November.

Send out invitations

We started sending our invitations to our Family and friends. Of course, for the principal sponsors, we send out official hard copy invitations and for the rest of our friends, they got received the virtual invitation. We also created a Facebook event for the other updates.

Meeting with Pastor Jun

We finally had our meeting with our on-the-day coordinator and with Pastor Jun. Pastor Jun guided us with the ceremony proper and some additional elements for the ceremony, like the groom's bible reading and Pastor Jun's proclamation.

Meeting with Host

We also had our final meeting with the host at Leanel's Garden. It was a nice and smooth day to finalize things. The photo above is from the Photo/Video team from the wedding on-site at the time.

Food Tasting

We finalized the food, we ordered some choices so we can pick our favorites.

Bridal Shower and Bachelorette Party

Initially planned as Bridal Shower by Jasmin's bridesmaid, ended up having a Bachelorette party as well. Jasmin does not really expect of having one but to her surprise, her girls showed her love.

The event took place in Pacita, a really nice events place. There's a pool, a house with 1 large room and an outside area that can be used for parties. It was a really really nice day, we were so happy and our friends bought food and drinks. Prepare some surprise materials, like the balloons and other stuff.

We appreciate the effort, I am surprised as well seeing the boys around. I really thought that this is just for Jas. They extended the party to me as well.

The games are fun and exciting. There were video greetings from important people in our lives, mostly from those abroad. I really hope that they could join us at our wedding but it's okay, we felt their love and happiness for us. I never really thought that many people love us. We really appreciate their effort and all.

I really enjoy answering questions from them. They had this different cards that they can reference in asking us questions. Some were funny, interesting, and serious. Of course, I answered many of them in a silly way. That's how I roll. But there was this one question that I'm surprised that got claps. I don't remember the exact question but it was a God-glorifying answer.

God moves in a mysterious way, it's not a cliche or a really nice quote. But it's a real thing, He is a real deal. Jassiee and I prayed for many months, even years. We asked for signs, prayed specific prayers and we do our fasting.

I believe that many people use to forget how God answered the prayers. We get blinded by our future in wanting more. We prayed to God for a specific job and a good-paying salary. We never realized that it's getting answered as the day goes by and everything leads to our wedding.

I personally, talked to Jas about having a home before getting married since I'm against having a grand wedding while having nowhere to lay our heads. We are lost along the way on how to set the budget and all until she convinced me to set aside the home and prepare for the wedding first.

We initially plan on staying in one of my parents' apartments. Then, on the week that we are about to fix the house, God surprised us with a home of our own. It's nice, it's big and we know that God will provide.

I also shared how God worked with the budget for our wedding. Just a few months ago, we were struggling on how to complete it all but yes, He is good and this is all for His glory.

29th.

We were too busy and excited about our wedding and I really forgot how to celebrate my birthday. Well, I don't have a plan, my eyes are already set on the wedding already. I'm just thankful for all the blessings that God showered on me over the past year. Me getting married in my 29th year is a really nice touch set by God.

Tomorrow isn't sure and I'm just blessed to have another year to my life.

Warm October nights

Oh! Here we are, the end of October. A lot happened this month, but let's get started with the Animes first.

I've read this months ago in the Manga, first hand. It's sad but I can't fully absorb this fact. The anime really did a wonderful job in animating the panels of the Manga. It really hits on the spot, the animation is great, and maaan, our boy Kurama is truly gone.

And to add to the nerfing of Naruto, Sasuke's Rinnegan, has been stabbed. Our heroes are giving way to the new MC of the Naruto Universe.

Before you say anything, please keep in mind that I only watch 12 EP animes that were recommended to me, or high on the best anime list. That's where I found Rent-a-girlfriend, it only has 1 season, so I read the Manga. When I finished the Manga, this anime pop-up the side of the screen, tempting me to read it. It's a nice anime.

Black Clover

Asta may be annoying at times but this anime is a top-notch new-gen anime. Fight scene? Story? And of course, a typical shonen anime. It's really good! If you like Naruto, it has similar plot points but you'll enjoy this really well. I finished the anime this month and I can't get enough of it. Apparently, the anime took a break, but the manga is still ongoing. I'm about to jump in the manga after all of this craziness.

Domestic Girlfriend Manga

A separate post for this Manga masterpiece. The plot circled around a novelist, a teacher, and a chef. It's a complicated love story, it has a really nice hook pilot and it will give you a rollercoaster ride of emotion and excitement. I'm not into this kind of stories but I'm really surprised by this romance-drama-a-lil-comedy manga. This story made me stay a few hours late before bedtime and it made me think about writing again. It has a story of life and it will definitely give you a different perspective of the world and people around you. It highlights choices and things you do for love. An against-all-odds theme.

Also, this manga and the anime have a little explicit content which is really interesting as it fuels emotion in the story.

Our wedding is just right around the corner and here are the things that we have accomplished for this month!

- Do the invitations. (I did very little. Lol)
- We bought a house, would you even think that? A last-minute purchase, a really nice home? Thank you, Lord!
- Went to Batangas to give out invitations and bid our final goodbyes to Jas' grandad.
- Prenup video has already been sent to us and it's really nice.
- Jassie did her initial fitting for her gown.

In the middle of September

Last month, I was just writing about how fast August slipped away. Now we're at the end of September, somebody wakes up Billie Joe.

There's a lot to unwrap this month, but let's start with my watch list first.

After reading this in the Boruto Manga a few months ago, did not realize that it will be this quick to be animated. This is Naruto's Final form, the Baryon Mode. Boruto anime has been peaking this year, the best year so far for the fanbase.

The My Hero Academia's last episode for this season has concluded. I always love the animation and the story. But the latter part of the season is really interesting as it tackles the origin story of the League of Villans or the Paranormal Liberation Front. Really excited for the next season.

This has been taking up my breaks and lunchtimes. Black Clover has been peaking since before the 100 episodes. The animation and battle scene have been very very good. I love the current arc and it feels like I'm in the climax of the anime. It feels like I'm watching a beautiful disaster. It's really good, didn't expect that this will be very good.

This has been a very busy month for our wedding preparation. It's getting more real and real as the days passed by. This month magnifies that fact.

Why?

- Well, we already went to Manila and have our wedding rings customized, and measured my suit.
- We also had our meeting with the food supplier about our food choices.
We had our seminar on Pre-Marriage, Family Planning, and Counseling conducted by the local government.
- We had a short meeting with the Photographer for our Prenup
- We do the paperwork for the marriage license
- We had an amazing, truly amazing photoshoot in Tagaytay. I'm so pumped up on the results.

Also, this month is such a relief about our family situation from last month. We had negative results from covid and 1 in which a likely a false positive. My mom is getting better and better. Well, so much better than last month.

21st of September

Soon enough, I'll be married to the love of my life, my first and my last. I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate you in everything that you do.

One thing I love about you is whenever you have a goal in your mind, you never stop. You never give up until you reach it and if that goal does not meet up your expectation. You move on to the next. Dattebayo, your ninja way. 😂😒

You know exactly what you're doing and you keep on trying new things. I honestly don't know how you manage all these things up, sometimes I feel like it's not possible in the first place.

The day that I fell in love with you, I know that I'm reaching for something nearly impossible.

When I started pursuing you, I know that it's unimaginable, I like you that much so I took the chance. I'm still not sure how you fell in love with me. I'm glad that I did what I have to do.

I knew that you will say yes the day that I proposed. I mean, we've been talking about our plans and goals. And even get mad at me for not taking action yet.

Now that we're near to getting married, I'm reminded of how awesome you really are. I felt so small. You are THAT amazing.

I know that I already told you this a million times but you are the picture of God's grace to me. You are someone that I don't deserve. It felt like there's nothing that I've done to deserve you but I'm really glad to accept you with everything that I have.

Who I am to reject this amazing gift anyway?

Happy Birthday, Bebs. I'm really excited about the future with you. That's all for now, saving my vocabulary for our wedding day. 🤣😂😁

August slipped away

Yup. We're all here. Just like that.. As Taylor Swift said, "August slipped away into a moment in time".

With the much stricter lockdown and a new variant. There's nothing much happened this month. Me and Jassie just work on the things that we can work on online or at home and delay the outside stuff.

I started posting again on my Instagram account, but this time on reels. I've never been consistent and I only posted 2 for the whole month. How's that?

I'm also struggling to go back to reading but I'm starting to get back on track as I slowly read few chapters.

For my monthly routine. I watched a few series.

iCarly season 1 was just wrapped up.

My love for black clover is really peaking up. Things are getting really interesting.

Of course, the on-going Boruto anime.

and My Hero Academia.

I've been reading manga, aside from the one who started my liking to reading mangas, Boruto.

I also caught up on this really fun Romantic Comedy.
Of course the action-packed and really funny Demon Slayer.

There's nothing much that I could share for this month. But it will be very busy for me and Jassiee in the next weeks as we prepare for our December wedding. omg.

Also, my family has been vaccinated already. Mom and my 2 little brothers just got their first shot. But it's been quite challenging for them. Apparently, they got sick. My mom got a little weaker than usual and I know that it's not from the vaccine nor the virus.

It's kinda odd seeing mom that way. I just feel pain looking at her. I check on her from time to time if she needs anything and I'm quietly praying for her complete healing. We're all hopeful that she can get through this all. She's my mom after all.

I don't know but it's kinda weird that I started being appreciative of what she has done to our family. I often overlooked the things that she does. Now, we have to do things ourselves and take care of her. For how many days now, my dad and I have been taking care of the household since we're the ones who are not sick.

As I'm writing this today, my mom is in the hospital to check things up. Hopefully that it's not that serious.

Cold Day in July

We're halfway to the end of the year, would you believe it?

I've slowed down in watching anime for this month. I took a break from my Instagram page. I also tried to go back on how things are going. I've been playing a lot of games, with my new ones.

My New Games:

One of the games that I really enjoyed. This is unlike the Naruto Ninja Storm series, this has level-ups and missions.

If you want to chill and have fun. Don't play this game. Don't let the colors and those adorable characters fool you. This is one of the frustrating games I ever played. And yes, you will never stop playing this. And yes, I never won ever in this game.

As I've said, I only watched a handful of series. 2 animes, one of which is still ongoing.

One of the cutest and chill anime. So wholesome and spice of life anime. This is a story of Tamako, a daughter of a mochi maker and her journey with the super friendly neighborhood/market.

Another series of adventure, magic and superpowers. A story of a boy with no magic and the guts in reaching his dream. I'm still a few episodes in the anime and it has been so good. It reminded me a lot of the Naruto series, you know the typical dream reacher protagonist.

Complicated timeline? Yes. Branch reality? You bet it. This is the amazing journey through time by none other than, the variant, Loki. This series officially launch the next phase and big villain of the MCU.

MCU is on the big screen once again after being delayed for few months. The action-packed movie of Black Widow. This is good. I love the fight scenes and the flow of the story. It's fun watching an MCU movie from time to time that has no supernatural powers.

I've also completed the full dose of my vaccine. The only side effect that I received was the swollen upper arm and that's it. So far, I don't experience anything bad in my body.

I've also watched and listen to several podcasts, I recently enjoyed listening to several stories featured in Toni talks, Wil Dasovich's superhuman podcast, MattRuns by Matteo Guidicelli. I get inspired and they gave me a different perspective on life. Above all of them, I'm pretty impressed by Toni Gonzaga's wisdom. I enjoy listening to her in how she conducts interviews and how she gives bits of her wisdom and she also amazingly quoted book wisdom.

Lastly, we went to my Ninang in Cavite, Jassie's Ninang and relatives in Novaliches, and talked to our Ninong and Ninang in Davao to complete our sponsor's list. We're getting there but it has been a very tiring and very exciting journey to our wedding.

In those heavy days in June

This month passes by just like that. But the main theme for this month is a slow fade. I'm quite burned out with my Instagram gaming and some other things. So, I took a break, taking things slowly but will surely be back soon.

Kuroko's BasketBall

I managed to watch this 75 Episode Sports Theme Anime and this is super cool. I never thought that I'd like a sports-related anime. One of my favorites for sure.

Loki just started and it's really interesting.

Of course, my favorite Nickelodeon series, iCarly came back and all those feels came rushing back as well. Too bad Sam is not on the show.

Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! - I don't know if this is for everyone but this is a masterpiece for sure. This anime will be appreciated by filmmakers and artists of the same field. This anime showcases the process of building an anime. From the idea to processing, filming, design, sounds, and the overalls. It's amazing.

Other stuff!

I also got my first shot of Vaccine last June 19 and I'll be back on July 10.

We went to Batangas over the weekend, June 27, and around Muntinlupa on June 28. We talked to our relatives and our principal sponsors. It was a tiring weekend but it's super fun. I love seeing the people's reactions and how they appreciated our offer. We were amazed by their fortune and meekness. Their acceptance and excitement.

All I can say is that we are blessed. I know not everyone is privileged to have a wedding but we're more than blessed to know that there are people around us that love and thinking about us.

We did not expect the reactions and feedback. It's touching.

Slack

I don't know what it is but I'm here again. Starting over. Getting tired of something I do not know, slacking off.

It was just 2 months ago, I've been running, doing all this stuff, rushing in. Reading all the books I could find, watching all the good anime and movies I bump into, and create every artwork I can get inspiration to.

Now, it's June 3rd. I've done nearly nothing. I'm not sneaking into anything at work and been doing just.. work.

Watching animes really slow and not doing any artwork. I'm getting lazy posting and grinding on Instagram. I'm not sure if I should say this but I think I needed a break. Lol

Hopefully, things will change next week.

May the Fourth be with you

Probably, the highlight of this month is my leaves. (Aside from an overnight with Jassiee here in our home). Almost the full month, I only work for 3 days per week. Which is very nice and it has this huge warning that I might get used to it.

I also set up my workstation outside my bed for a lil different experience, while It's pretty hot out here, I really enjoy the vibes at some time.

Good Reads

I've been reading this for quite a while and it has those interesting takes on Christianity. I really like the author's explanation but sometimes it's too deep for me.

Hey there, Roach

I'm being reminded from time to time about this experience I had in my elementary days. I'm not sure if I shared it already but, I'll share it again.

In the days of innocence and cartoon characters, there was I, imagining myself watching my favorite Cartoon Network shows. Studying really bored me to death. I only really listen to teachers that I liked.

To be honest, there were only a handful of teachers that I liked back then. Some of them are not really good either. But above the lessons that they taught us, I remembered some of them because of either their trivia and some negative stuff.

We had this computer subject back then and my teacher told us something about computers. You know, the basics: software, hardware, and peopleware. But above all of that, I learned about the hardware. He told us that computer components will only fit the specific slot. It reminded me of the kids' toy: Sorting cube.

I broke so many computers and learned more along the way and what he told us remained true. A really nice lesson that guided me so many times.

But the point of making this blog is to tell a little story about how my classmate teased me back then. Before I tell you this, here are some things that I'd like you to know about me:

- I'm a shy type.
- I'm definitely an introvert.

During that time, I didn't know the concept of introverts and extroverts. I only know one thing: There's something wrong with me.

Whenever my teacher commanded us to read or when I'm called to recite. My voice shakes and it's in low volume. Some of them, especially my adviser and my math teachers will shout at me and calling me names: Cockroach.

Why? Cause with the volume of my voice, only cockroaches can hear me. It was the birth of this name I was called back then.

Is there something wrong with me? I carried that thought as grow up until I learned about introverts. I was so happy thinking that, yeah, I'm normal somehow. I guess?

It was just sad that it was my teachers who brought that name that caused my classmate to tease me endlessly. Because of this, I only hang out with my outcast classmates, maybe because we relate to each other somehow.

Your Lie in April

April 30, 2021

There's not much that happened this month. Because, lockdown restarts, plans, and all those stuff were either canceled or postponed.

I only went to Jassie's home last week to work on our wedding stuff, like food tasting and doing some boxes.

And I took a step back on some of the things that I've been working on. Like, I slowed down my book reading to absorb the knowledge that being imparted to me by those authors and even in watching anime movies, apparently, I've already watched most of the anime movies on the top 30 list.

Good Reads

I'm currently reading 2 books, Mere Christianity and How's Your Soul. I might finish this next month, so the review and my thoughts on this will be posted at the end of May.

Watch Tayo

I handpicked them base on the recommendations and the comments of other people. I only watched a few but they're really good ones.

Movie
Princess Mononoke
Wolf Children
Summer Wars
Spirited Away
Voices of a Distant Star
Colorful
Demon Slayer: Mugen Train

For the series, I started watching animes with few episodes only. I really enjoyed Your Lie in April and Anohana, they all made me cry. While Erased and Terror in Resonance gave me the idea of what content I enjoy in anime.

Series
Your Lie In April
Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day
Erased
Terror in Resonance
Given
Tokyo Magnitude 8.0

Other stuff

Well, my boys on the Celtics are on a run. Hopefully, they will continue this even in the playoffs.

That's all for now. Ciao.

March Madness

Just like that, we're one year into the pandemic and just like that. This month is about to end. So here's my summary slash review of this month.

So here's a little update about our wedding:

Things are tough recently and it's hard to move around but we're getting there. Pray with us!

Good Reads

I finished 2 books this month.

This is the last book about marriage on our shelf and this is a really good book for married and about to be married. The couple shares their story on how God intervenes in their marriage, all the struggles and the pain that went through. A really nice story. I also love how they relate the word of God in marriage.

Judah Smith does it again. Life Is ___ uncovers God's love in several fascinating stories in the bible - and in Judah's funny encounter in life. This is a really good book if you want to laugh and cry in every chapter.

Watch Tayo

Here are the anime movies that I watched. This is base on recommendations on Yeng Constantino's page. Hahaha. I literally don't watch anime movies before so I don't have any ideas about which ones are good or which directors are the best. But this list below is the ones that I watched and there's no trash in here. Some have a really good story, some have some crazy and fascinating animation. Every movie is good in its own way. I highly recommend this!

Your Name
The Girl Who Leap Through Time
Garden of Words
Ride Your Wave
When Marnie Was There
Hotorobi No Mori
Hello World
Hal
A Whisker Away
I Want To Eat Your Pancreas
Howl's Moving Castle
The Anthem of the Heart
Penguin Highway
Her Blue Sky
A Silent Voice
Weathering With You
5 Centimeters Per Second
Garden of Words
Children Who Chase Lost Voices
My Neighbor Totoro

Anime Series

I finished 5 Animes:

Jujutsu Kaisen
A Place Further Than the Universe
Attack On Titan
The Promised Neverland
Violet Evergarden

Other Stuff

The Celtics traded for Evan Fournier for 2 second-round picks! Great pick-up. However, we're saying goodbyes to our boys, Daniel Theis, Javonte Green, and Jeff Teague.

That's all for now. Thank you!

New people

When we meet new people, we actually meet old people with tons of stories.
Their face is pretty new and their voice is being registered to your minds, along the way, bits of stories are being told. Revealing bits who they are.

We learned how they talk and how they do things. Somehow, as days pass by, we knew a version of them that other people didn't know.

I don't really know why I'm thinking about this but it's a nice thought. This process is fascinating to me. Especially when you met someone who has a similar interest as you.

If you analyze it, that's pretty weird and really really interesting. A total stranger, out millions of people in the world with these unique stories and habits. Somehow, you met this person with who you have similarities.

There are also times that you met people that you don't have anything to bond with. No similar interest or anything but somehow, you clicked.

It's a weird and wonderful process. What are your thoughts on this? Ever thought of someone as you read this?

JanxFeb

I rarely blog these days, I've been working on other stuff and Valorant. So I thought that I should do some Monthly summary of what's happening in my life. Somehow similar to what I'm doing every end of the year.

Since I missed January, I'll cover 2 months here.

Ever since I proposed to Jassiee, she's been very busy arranging and contacting suppliers for our wedding. That this point in time, I'm only here to exist and agree.

We've been to several wedding venues, it was fun but really costly. We also attended a marriage seminar, and read books about marriage and speaking of reading;

Good Reads

I've also read several books, this is one of my goals this year, to read as much. I've read few short books about life and marriage. To keep track of this, I'll list them below:

- Ok lang Magstruggle At Mabigo
- Life is Short
- Handa Ka Na Ba - For Better or For Worse?
- Marriage Rules The Hilarious Handbook for Surviving Marriage
How to Keep Your Hubby Happy (apparently this is also recommended to husbands and to be)

Currently reading 2 devotional type books

- 365 Daily Supplements for the Heart
- The Story of Marriage

And I'm about to start Life is ___.

Watch Tayo

Because of this Naruto fever in me, I have started to watch some anime. Aside from finishing Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, and Aho Girl last year; I'm done with the following:

- Demon Slayer

On-going Animes:

- Boruto: Naruto Next Generations
- Attack On Titan

Currently watching

- Inuyasha
- Jujutsu No Kaisen

I have several pending on my list and I'm excited to finish them all. I also tried reading Manga, this is because of my Naruto fever. Well, I'm up-to-date with Boruto.

Non-anime series? WandaVision, it's so good!

Other Stuff

I've been consistent in posting on my Instagram page, myartdump.psd, and on hiatus on my versenchorus.

I don't have anything else, for now, I'll try to improve this moving forward, I'm just testing the waters.

How's your goals

Earlier this year, I'm so hyped up for what 2021 has to offer, at least for me. I planned out the little things that I need to achieve and somehow planned even up to the daily stuff.

That's from drinking hot water from waking up, reading a chapter a book, meditating, doing exercise, and things like that.

And, I'll be honest. There were times that I missed my schedule and skip a day. Particularly the exercise thing. As you know, it's already the 21st today and usually, this is the time where people gave up on their "resolutions" and go back to their old ways.

Today was a breeze, maybe it contributes to this under the weather feeling, and thinking about it, there's really a ton of hindrances in achieving my goals. Our really messy home, laundry schedule. Messed up stuff.

I know for sure that a sprinkle of laziness also supplies to this sentiment. I don't want to give up but it seems like nothing's working, it stresses me out. I feel like a failure. I can just keep doing this and maybe shake things up a little.

I'm not sure. Well, today is another day. I might just shake it off and start again tomorrow. This is no time to surrender.

Pivoting

I watched a vlog of a massive YouTuber the other day, he doesn't have much viewership as of this day but his words are pretty inspiring to me.

He said that he's trying to explore other opportunities other than YouTube. He's looking for a similar field. But what struck me the most when he said that he's not giving up on video or content creation. He's just pivoting.

Pivoting, what an interesting word that he linked to giving up. He believes that trying a different platform is not giving up, it's pivoting.

You take your experience, your learnings from your previous platform and bring it to your new field, which gives you somewhat of an advantage or makes you unique in the area.

Why is this relevant to me, you ask?

Well, around 12 years ago, I was introduced to Photoshop. Me and my classmate tried to work on our improvement by manipulating photos. This is way before those filters and auto-editing apps.

So, below are my try-hard attempt at the graphic design from the early days:

This is for a competition for Drama Club in our college.

A campaign profile picture for a presidential candidate.

Campaign for my favorite team.

A glimpse of my @versenchorus Instagram page.

A somehow glimpse of @myartdump.psd Instagram page.

One of my favorite photos in the early days

Amazing shot by my friend and I added some texture and colors

This is the time where I started experimenting with photoshop. This is when I fell in love with blending layers

The Halloween specials

Somehow, I got a lost interest in manipulation, so I just working on some black and white styles

Album cover art or something?

Yes, I also do some projects for my friends and love ones.

Including this compilation of photos from our youth group.

I think this is for my blogger page.

Due to photo improvements hype. I also got in somehow.

I still love editing photos, but I have found some new hobby or passion. This is from my @versenchorus Instagram:

While this is from my @myartdump.psd page.

This is my pivot story. From photo manipulation to enhancement to creating some basic fan artwork and lyric designs.
