This month is quite busy. Jassie's been confirmed pregnant, and we went to the doctor for the scheduled check-up several times. We got an ultra-sound, and we heard the baby's heartbeat. We got some moving videos. There's a lot going on and this is very exciting.
We waited for this for several months, earlier in our marriage, we did not try having a baby. We aim to enjoy each other's company, just the two of us. Then, after a year, it became our prayer.
To be honest, this is not sinking in my head. There are moments that I wanted to cry for unknown reasons, instances where I heard the heartbeat for the first time when I saw the baby moving on the monitor. It's gladness, it's pure joy - it's a new life - our miracle.
We didn't really mind other people pressuring us to have a child. It's not our time yet and it's not really our decision, it's all God's timing. Some wanted to have me checked for barrenness possibility. But again, it's God's time. Not mine, not ours.
And I hope people understand that - not just on a surface level. There are things that we cannot control and only God has authority over them. It's quite insensitive to bring this up over and over again, I mean, I feel for some people as they are going through something.

| Today, May 29, 2023 - Morning. Blackie died, was hit by a vehicle on a Monday morning as she chase a cat on the road. It's devastating to think about, she's one of the sweetest puppies, I love carrying this girl and I enjoy seeing her jumping up all over the place. It's gonna be hard but if pets do really go to heaven, it's nice to know that you're with your mom now. Run free, blackie 😢 |
